This page answers frequently asked questions about the instructor program.
Here are some answers to common questions that you may have about the Certified Disciplined Agile Partner Program and how it relates to you as an Instructor:
Q: Do I have to be a Certified Partner in order to be a Certified Disciplined Agile Instructor (CDAI)?
A: No. The CDAI is a personal designation earned. As a Certified Disciplined Agile Instructor, you may provide services through one or several Certified DA Partners. The annual fee for being a CDAI is indicated on the Instructor Program details page. We are priced to be competitive with other certification programs. It is up to you if you pay the annual personally, or have the fee reimbursed back to you by the Certified DA Partners you provide services for.
A: The license is owned by the Instructor.
A: Your CDAI is valid for one year. Before you renew your Instructor designation, you must ensure your Certified Disciplined Agile Practitioner (CDAP), Disciplined Agile Lean Scrum Master (DALSM) or Certified Disciplined Agile Coach (CDAC) is in good standing.
A: Becoming a Certified DA Partner is separate from being an Instructor. Please contact us for details.
A: We hope that you will see the value in the benefits as described on the Certified Partner Program page. You can use the Partner logo branding to help market your services as an Instructor but also that fact that your firm has CDAPs, and CDACs. We are increasingly being asked for references of companies and consultants that are certified to help organizations adopt Disciplined Agile. Additionally, you receive discounts on your teaching royalties making your courses more profitable.
A: In addition to the benefits outlined in the Instructor Program, there are other advantages of becoming a partner. We can all benefit from the growing awareness of the value of Disciplined Agile. The revenue from the partner program funds administration of the Consortium as well as marketing activities.
Benefits are being updated for February 2020.
We are working hard to make the Instructor program more valuable to you.
